There is a common phrase in today’s world that goes, “It's not what you know, but who you know”. A larger amount of people are seeking higher education and getting degrees. This means that a vast number of people are entering the workforce than ever before thus increasing the competitiveness of the job market. I have learned that in many instances that someone with little to no job experience can have great difficulty in breaking into the job market without some kind of contact. That is why it has become more crucial for one to begin networking early on.
Networking is the process of interacting with other people to exchange information and develop contacts, especially to further one's career. The major benefits of networking is that 1. It brings about opportunities, 2. Connections are built that can later be used down the line, and 3. It will raise your profile in whatever sector you are trying to break into.
